Event 8

On August 12, the Charity Series of Poker hosted another successful event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. The tournament benefited the Maximum Hope Foundation and its founder Brad Garrett was the master of ceremonies while he played himself. The event raised more than $30,000 for the foundation, money that will offer practical aid to families with a child battling a life-limiting illness.


Garrett, three-time Emmy winner actor/comedian, was the life of the pre-party at L Bar then entertained the players while giving away tons of giveaways courtesy of the Seminole Hard Rock.


The tournament drew 167 entrants and Francis Margaglione won the $1,000 bonus for the most re-entries. When registration closed, founder Matt Stout was the chip leader and earned a nice little bonus himself.


The tournament quickly played down to the final table while everyone was having a great time. Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Tournament Director Tommy Bates was the first out the table and the last three players came down 2014 CSOP winner Nick Yunis, WSOP bracelet winner Chance Kornuth, and Matt Stout.


EV21 CSOP Champion Chance Kornuth DSC_3650It was a fun tournament and final table with Kornuth taking home the top prize with a laugh and a smile. His win capped out a fun evening for a great cause with a bunch of new and old friends.
