Event #15

On February 25th, 2018 the Charity Series of Poker joined forces with the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation to support Folded Flag Foundation, an organization started by Golden Knights owner Bill Foley. The Folded Flag Foundation mission is to provide educational scholarships and support grants to the spouses and children of the United States military and government personnel who died as a result of hostile action or in an accident related to U.S. combat operations.

A total of 88 players got together on the top floor of the beautiful Andaz Hotel in the hills of West Hollywood for an evening of cocktails, poker, and fun for a great cause. Players in the poker tournament bought in for $400 and had a blast rebuying $200 at a time while trying to win a coveted seat at the World Series of Poker. They were joined by celebrities like Randy Couture while poker’s favorite superstar, Daniel Negreanu, emceed.

There was plenty to do for players who didn’t play or were eliminated from the event as well. Foley Family Wines held a wine tasting at the event. Attendees also had the opportunity to play table games at our Casino Night for the opportunity to win a Sonoma Wine Country Experience Package.

In the end, it was Seth Kugler who ended up victorious in the event and will be taking a trip to the World Series of Poker as a result. But the real winners were the families of those who lost their lives in combat because we raised $54,540 that evening and that will provide a lot of scholarships and financial assistance to families who gave.
